That’s right. I said it. I am back. I realized I don’t want to give up taking pictures of children all-together. Newborn sessions make me coo with delight. Six month cuties just learning to sit and crawl make me see the world again for the first time through their eyes. Smash cake first birthday sessions make me bubble over with laughter. So I made a decision, I will keep shooting kids. So, since I just got here, to beautiful Brighton Colorado, until I start getting busy again (and probably even after let’s be honest) I am going to fill you in on the day to day of a Mamarazzi and her (mostly unwilling)subject.
For me, that would be my daughter Ivy. Having just turned two in August Miss Ivy really doesn’t much like the camera and I have to resort to all sorts of tricks to try and get her to look. She won’t fall for the fake sneeze anymore, or the “What’s on my nose?” , or the “There’s a butterfly in my camera!”. Or candy. Or money. Or promises of piggyback rides, parks, or new clothing(she LOVES new clothing, girlfriend has more than I do). Recently I had a small window of time where she actually DID look at the camera though, and this is what I got:
OK technically she isn’t looking at the camera for all of those, but I still love ‘em.
